Lead Vessel Operations Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Lead Vessel Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement efficient vessel operations strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to junior team members to ensure seamless execution of daily tasks.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including supervisors, equipment specialists, and terminal operators, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing container yard activities using the latest Terminal Operations System.
  • Supervising quay-side activities, ensuring timely and efficient loading and unloading of containers.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A local polytechnic diploma in a relevant field, such as logistics or operations management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of equipment specialists.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
