About the Role
Samsung Electronics is seeking a highly experienced Senior Marketing Technology Leader to join our Regional Digital Marketing team in SEA & Oceania region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive the development of our marketing technology function, enabling data-driven customer experiences across the region.

Job Description
The Senior Marketing Technology Leader will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement effective marketing solutions that meet business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing and delivering strategic insights on current marketing technology
  • Translating technical issues into clear communication for management
  • Translating business needs into optimized marketing solutions
  • Recommending solutions to optimize marketing technology
  • Designing, scoping, and specifying MarTech projects, ensuring effective delivery
  • Overseeing lead engagement strategies and custom solution delivery
  • Collaborating with Global Headquarters to influence MarTech software, tool features, functions, and connection needs regionally
  • Staying updated on new techniques and technologies in the field
  • Conceptualizing and implementing workarounds for marketing system limitations to power business needs and requirements
  • Ensuring clear tracking and recording of marketing efforts
  • Understanding and utilizing 3rd party cloud infrastructure for data analysis
  • Excellent understanding of the impact of cookieless future. Addressing challenges, advising, recommending, and driving solutions towards ensuring effective marketing in the cookieless future
  • Managing multiple vendors to enhance end-to-end marketing solutions
  • Driving data sharing and compliance within the organization
  • Supporting, educating, and driving capabilities of marketing systems
  • Acting as a technical interface and defining data sharing protocols
  • Supporting major flagship launches and ensuring system uptime
  • Assisting deployment and data teams during crucial marketing campaigns
  • Identifying and resolving data pipeline interruptions promptly

Regional Governance
The Senior Marketing Technology Leader will also be responsible for acting as the regional gatekeeper to our 1PD Marketing Database, managing and controlling all requests for access, download while monitoring usage to ensure legal and privacy compliance as well as prioritizing customer experience (prevent opt-outs).

Project Management
Key responsibilities include leading major platform changes, especially CRM and cookieless initiatives, defining marketing capability lapses, influencing necessary changes to senior management, and ensuring project execution from project planning to testing and roll-out.

Team Reporting and Budget Management
The Senior Marketing Technology Leader will also be responsible for preparing strategic business reporting decks and managing team activity reporting, strict management of team budget and maintaining strong vendor relationships, controlling technical team budget and providing monthly reports to management, ensuring compliance with Samsung finance processes and timelines, and explaining technical expenditure rationale to finance teams to maintain budget integrity.

Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' work-experience in marketing/digital technology within business consultancy firm / electronics / tech / finance or CPG sector
  • Strong project management capabilities with knowledge of marketing, technology, key IT initiatives, enterprise- and inter-enterprise-level systems integration
  • Experience with CDPs, CRM solutions, paid media platforms, and email delivery issues
  • Expertise in API integration and ETL, both on-premise and in cloud
  • Understanding of data platform tools for marketing automation and operations
  • Proficiency in SQL and database foundations for data management
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Independent, self-driven, responsible, with prior regional experience managing CoE and Operations team a plus
  • Ability to travel regionally (~25%), professional certifications are a plus (eg. PMP, Certification in Adobe Marketing Cloud / SAP)
