Lead Electrical Systems Specialist

Job description:

As a Lead Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems and associated equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions.

You will conduct thorough analyses and simulations to optimize system performance and reliability. Additionally, you will drive innovation by staying current with industry trends and incorporating cutting-edge technologies into designs.

To ensure successful project completion, you will align the planning of electrical projects with overall project timelines. You will also manage the work of electrical specialist contractors and professional engineers to ensure contract agreements are met and work is completed satisfactorily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems and associated equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions

Requirements

Tertiary education in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or equivalent in the Built Environment is required. Prior experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering roles managing system design and development and deploying smart technologies to enhance building operations is preferred.

  • Proficient in CAD software and electrical design tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex electrical and energy-related issues
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with project teams
