Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Residential Technical Officer to join our team. This role will involve ensuring site activities comply with regulations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand project specifications, construction drawings, and ensure site activities comply with regulations and client requirements.
  • Monitor site works to ensure method statements and work procedures are followed.
  • Supervise structural works, identifying non-conformity of contractor's work site.
  • Ensure builders execute work in accordance with Consultant's instructions.
  • Check drawings for discrepancies, highlighting issues to Consultants and suggesting solutions to prevent delays.
  • Conduct quality inspections and control of materials used for the project.
  • Maintain proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records, and approved/as-built drawings.
  • Update site records on progress of work, housekeeping, and prepare reports.
  • Verify contractors' progress payments, claims in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site.
  • Witness inspection, testing, and commissioning sessions performed by contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications.
  • Report to project QP/Project Consultants Team on quality and progress.

Requirements
  • Min Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervision of residential buildings.
  • Resident Technical Officer Certificate accredited by IES/ACES.
  • Knowledge and Experience in institutional settings.
  • Conversant in statutory codes and requirements.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills essential.
