Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Assistant to join our team in preparing nutritious meals for young children.

Job Description

As a Culinary Assistant, you will assist the Head Cook in daily meal preparation, portioning and presentation. You will also be responsible for washing, peeling, chopping and preparing food ingredients according to established hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Head Cook with meal preparation and portioning
  • Wash, peel, chop and prepare food ingredients
  • Ensure all food is handled and stored according to hygiene standards
  • Support in serving meals/snacks to children and staff
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment and surfaces
  • Monitor food supplies and assist with stock rotation
  • Work with Cleaner to maintain overall kitchen cleanliness

You will be working closely with the Cleaner to ensure a clean, hygienic and child-friendly kitchen environment.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in kitchen, F&B or preschool settings
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
  • Reliable, punctual and a good team player
  • Positive attitude and care towards children's nutrition

You will also be required to submit your updated resume in MS Word format as part of your application.
