Business Operations Transformation

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Operations Specialist to lead the transformation of our equities settlements processes. As a key member of our team, you will drive process optimization, system migration, and business requirements definition for our new settlements platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops to elicit, document, and validate detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for the new settlements platform.

  • Collaborate with Technology teams to design optimal future-state settlement processes and solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Define test strategies, oversee the creation of detailed test cases, and actively lead and participate in testing to validate the new system's functionality, data integrity, and operational readiness.

  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with operations users, providing training and support as needed.

  • Contribute to project planning, including defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource allocation for relevant project streams. Monitor and report on progress against key milestones.

  • Act as a key liaison and bridge between various internal departments and external vendors/providers, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions to operational users on the new settlement processes and system functionalities, creating detailed user manuals and operational procedures to ensure seamless adoption.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree Holder in Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related field.

  • 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in an Equities Operations role within the financial services industry.

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on transformation or system migration projects.

  • Practical experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies, including crafting user stories, business requirements documents, impact assessments, and functional specifications.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure, managing deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
