Community Outreach Coordinator

Job Description

This role is responsible for door-to-door outreach and outreach booth support in the north-east region of Singapore. The primary objective is to inform families of persons with disabilities and residents about SPD's services and opportunities.

The coordinator will work closely with the Community Inclusion & Engagement and Volunteer Management teams to ensure outreach efforts are aligned with the organization's goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse audiences on a one-to-one level.

Key responsibilities include establishing rapport with community members, listening to their needs and concerns, and connecting them to appropriate services. The coordinator will also identify and engage potential volunteers by explaining the benefits and impact of volunteering with SPD.

Additionally, the coordinator will collect relevant data during interactions, including contact details, feedback, and interest levels, ensuring this information is accurately recorded and shared with the team for follow-up.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Competent in basic MS Excel skills
  • Able to travel around the North-east region of Singapore
  • Eager to champion services for persons with disabilities
