Job Description:

  • Oversee the technical operations of in-charged tankers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage daily maintenance and repair activities, including budget surveys and docking operations.
  • Maintain updated records of class status and coordinate with Classification Societies, Suppliers, and Contractors for daily operations.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements under ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and attend vessel inspections by oil majors, statutory surveys, and follow up on related matters.
  • Carry out onboard technical inspection and prepare the technical inspection report.
  • Assist the safety department to conduct and report on incident/accident investigations.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Technical Manager.

Requirements:

  • Sea-going experience as a Chief Engineer on a tanker vessel or shore experience as a Technical Superintendent will be preferred.
  • Hold a valid COC (Class 1).
  • possess strong organizational skills with a hands-on approach to technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Be independent, resourceful, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Will travel overseas on short notice as needed.
