Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemical Tanker Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing vessel vetting processes for the chemical tanker fleet to ensure compliance with OCIMF SIRE, CDI, TMSA, RightShip, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee vessel vetting processes for the chemical tanker fleet.
  • Prepare chemical tankers and crews for vetting inspections, audits, and customer assessments.
  • Analyze vetting inspection findings and trends, with emphasis on chemical tanker operations.
  • Liaise with charterers, oil majors, and regulatory authorities on vetting requirements and outcomes for chemical tankers.
  • Maintain updated vetting records and inspection databases for chemical tanker vessels.
  • Provide training and guidance to shipboard and shore personnel on vetting readiness and industry standards for chemical tankers.
  • Monitor changes in international regulations and vetting protocols specific to chemical tanker operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a relevant maritime discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in vessel vetting, HSSEQ, or marine assurance within the shipping industry.
  • Solid working knowledge of OCIMF SIRE, TMSA, RightShip, CDI vetting systems, and international shipping regulations.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and reporting ability with focus on operational safety and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
