Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineering Discipline Manager to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Functional Team consisting of Systems, Infrastructure, and Speciality engineers.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving engineering discipline practices, people development, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to building a clear vision and direction for Engineering initiatives and communicate effectively to the team.
  • Contribute to Systems, Infrastructure, and Speciality Engineering Discipline Governance.
  • Define and tailor discipline practices (process and tools).
  • Ensure capitalization and sharing of knowledge.
  • Contribute to discipline efficiency plans to increase business competitiveness.
  • Promote adoption of new technologies.
  • Assess skills required for current and future projects needs including future discipline trends.
  • Develop/upskill the team and career management.
  • Conduct strategic workforce planning including provision of resources to fulfill current and future bid and project needs.
  • Roll-out Make Team Buy strategy for forecasted workload (incoming activities).
  • Define and manage hiring strategy and recruitment, onboarding.
  • Foster collaboration with other disciplines to define multi-discipline solutions with added value.
  • Foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture.

For success in this role, you will have demonstrated or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Qualifications: degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline, postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering desirable.
  • Essential Experience: proven experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle management (10+ years), proven experience in managing and coaching staff, demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in multidisciplinary, multicultural environment, experience with Safety, Security, and Human Factors standards and practices, ability to develop and promote high-performing teams, ability to engage senior stakeholders having different objectives, accountability, transparency, and curiosity, positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
