Job Description

As a Riding Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching horse riding lessons in a safe and enjoyable manner to riders of all levels. Your primary goal is to provide high-quality instruction, ensuring that each student progresses at their own pace.

  • Teach riding lessons to students of varying skill levels
  • Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing students for competitions and assisting them on competition days
  • Encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as Pony Club or leasing horses
  • Ensuring rider lists and color levels are up-to-date and reviewed quarterly
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • British Horse Society Assistant Instructor (BHS AI) Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively with students, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
