Inventory Management Specialist Job Description

As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS). The role involves conducting regular cycle counts and full physical stock audits to ensure the integrity of our inventory. You will also investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining precise and up-to-date inventory records using WMS.
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and full physical stock audits.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory variances quickly and efficiently.
  • Coordinating with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate inventory movement.
  • Monitoring and tracking stock levels; flagging excess or low inventory situations.
  • Generating inventory reports to support decision-making and operational planning.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, proficient with WMS or inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and able to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Lean or 5S practices is a plus, as well as a forklift license.
