Job Title: Culinary Care Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Culinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our preschool community, you will be responsible for creating healthy and delicious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our children.

Your primary focus will be on planning, preparing, and serving nutritious food while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. You will work closely with our staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and surrounding areas.

In addition to your culinary expertise, you will also play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our centre. This may involve assisting with other duties as required by campus leadership, such as maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and participating in quality control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare healthy meals, snacks, and beverages that meet HMCCP guidelines and cater to the dietary needs of our children.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen and dining area are clean, safe, and inviting for our children and staff.
  • Hygiene Standards: Maintain high standards of hygiene during food preparation, handling, and serving.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies with the approval of the Head of School.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in quality control initiatives, assist with other duties as required by campus leadership, and contribute to the overall well-being of our preschool community.
Requirements
  • Certification: WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
  • Experience: Prior experience in childcare centres or hospitality (e.g. hotel/restaurant kitchens) is highly preferred
  • Skills: Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety, ability to cook efficiently for large groups, strong sense of cleanliness, responsibility, and organization, language proficiency in English
