Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team, focusing on data protection and privacy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing data processing activities, conducting risk assessments, and providing legal advice on fintech matters.

Responsibilities
  • Assess data processing activities within proposed products and services.
  • Conduct Data Protection Risk Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Provide legal advice on privacy and fintech matters.
  • Stay current on developments in data protection and privacy laws globally.
  • Implement and maintain privacy policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Global Data Protection Officer and other stakeholders.
Requirements & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data protection, privacy compliance, and data security.
  • Undergraduate degree and legal professional qualification; CIPP/E or CIPT (or similar) certification is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of GDPR, APAC, and India data protection laws.
  • Experience with financial/banking products and regulatory developments in APAC/India.
  • Ability to respond quickly, prioritize effectively, and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
