Legal Consultant Position

This role offers the opportunity to work with a global organization, advising on data privacy and protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising on compliance with data privacy and protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating data processing agreements, data-sharing agreements, vendor contracts, and cross-border transfer arrangements.
  • Supporting privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and other internal privacy compliance processes.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Providing guidance on privacy risks related to new products, services, and technologies.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on day-to-day data privacy issues and regulatory inquiries.

A successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of global and regional data privacy and protection laws, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders. They will also have experience advising on data governance, data transfers, and cross-border compliance issues, as well as providing practical, business-focused legal advice.

The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate complex legal concepts to non-technical stakeholders. They will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements:
