The Role

Storage Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This individual will be responsible for managing storage-related projects and providing level 3 operational support in the APAC region.

  • This role involves supporting projects across various industries, including Banking/Finance, Healthcare/pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Oil & Gas, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Management:

This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Maintaining configuration standards and design guidelines for storage systems, management systems, and required software.
  2. Providing technical assistance to deployment teams.
  3. Maintaining, adhering to, and improving standard operating procedures followed in the organization.
  4. Performing storage resource allocations and migrations when required, complying with the process.
Business Relationships:

This involves:

  1. Communicating with APS, business, and other ITP teams during different project stages.
Governance:

This includes:

  1. Supporting storage vulnerability, baseline checking, and storage hardening.
  2. Producing health-check/dashboard/security compliance reports as required.

Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of system support experience on enterprise storage platforms.
  • SAN management at intermediate to advanced levels.
  • NAS management at intermediate to advanced levels.
  • Object storage management at intermediate to advanced levels.
  • ITIL foundation for service management.
  • Experience in EMC PMAX/VMAX, ECS, Pure Storage, NetApp, Brocade SAN switches, and CleverSafe.
  • Strong knowledge of storage management, including volume/file system management, data migration, snapshots, and replication.
  • Experience in storage upgrades and hands-on code upgrades.
