Trade Finance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity trade finance, with a focus on risk management and analytical skills.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer transactional collaterals for Commodity Finance/Structured Finance transactions.
  • Perform Mark to Market valuations and monitor cash collateral requirements.
  • Monitor Loan to Value ratios and conduct margin calls as necessary.
  • Update transactional details into ST Connect for monitoring of exposures and facility limits management.
  • Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of potential risks.
  • Performs price checks for the teams.
  • Support Account Officers on assigned portfolio coverage duties.
  • Prepare reports as requested by the Head of Structured Trade Middle Office.
  • Partake in UAT for system enhancements and implementation.
  • Perform Connectivity tests as and when required for new system rollouts or BCP.
  • Assist in records archiving and other admin duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance or a relevant field.
  • 5–12 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance Middle Office, Front Office, or Commodity Trading Houses.
  • Strong proficiency in English and Chinese, especially the latter when dealing with Chinese-speaking customers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand intrinsic transactional risks.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Financing, Storage Tank Financing, Borrowing Base Financing, and Revolving Credit Finance is preferred.
  • Sound understanding of trade-based rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525, and Incoterms 2021.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
