About the Role

This is a Senior Associate level opportunity in the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset Management. The successful candidate will support senior client relationship managers in their goal to raise capital for the Brookfield Global Client Group, with a focus on institutional investors in South Asia & Taiwan, and maintain existing client relationships.

The Senior Associate will work across all asset classes that Brookfield specializes in (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewables, Private Equity) and stretch across all parts of the fundraising process (marketing activities, direct client communications, research, client / prospect due diligence). This role will give early exposure to institutional fundraising in the alternatives industry.

The responsibilities of the role include:
  1. Supporting all aspects of fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence and onboarding processes.
  2. Working with CRMs to originate new client investment activity.
  3. Coordinating and attending update meetings with investment teams (prepare pre-meeting reports and appropriate materials, coordinate any follow-up)
  4. Coverage of on-site due diligence meetings with investment teams (prepare pre-meeting reports and appropriate materials, coordinate any follow-up)
  5. Where appropriate, directly communicating with clients to support their due diligence requests.
  6. Maintaining Brookfield's internal CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring that the system is up to date for internal reporting purposes.
  7. Assisting with ad-hoc Business Development activities.
  8. Conducting alternative asset industry research and client-specific research:
  9. Compiling detailed pre-meeting reports for each client meeting involving Brookfield investment professionals
  10. Completing ad-hoc profiles on prospects as needed.
  11. Detailed research and analysis, leveraging market data and other sources, with the aim of creating targeted prospective investor lists for new funds and strategies.
  12. Monitoring industry press for information relating to our respective prospects and competitors.
  13. In conjunction with Communications and Project Management Teams, help coordinate road shows, conferences, and investor meetings.
  14. Assisting with conference/ meeting planning: setup, prepare and co-ordinate with different stakeholders (both within and beyond the organization)
  15. Facilitating broad investor communication initiatives.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong understanding of the fundraising process, corporate valuations, and competitive landscape. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, communications, or other relevant discipline, and 5-7 years of experience in private equity investments (LP or GP), fund marketing, due diligence, sales, client services or other fundraising or client function.

The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work, able to develop a strong internal/external network and build relationships with professionals around the organization. They will also have excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
