Job Overview

The role of a Compliance Specialist in the Global Banking sector involves identifying and mitigating regulatory risks. This encompasses Equities, FICC, sales, trading, exchange listed equities, derivatives, currency, fixed income, commodities, OTC derivatives, swaps, structured products.

A key responsibility is to ensure compliance with regulations across various business coverage areas and compliance programs. The specialist will partner with senior management to develop and execute strategies, monitor performance, manage reporting, coordinate key compliance programs, engage with regulatory bodies, and foster collaboration within the team.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and commercial awareness. Experience in regulatory bodies, banking & finance, accounting, or consulting is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement compliance strategies aligned with business objectives.
  2. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance compliance processes and mitigate risk.
  4. Stay updated on changing regulatory requirements and provide guidance to colleagues.
  5. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in compliance or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
