Restaurant Captain Job Description

As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our dining experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to delivering exceptional service to our guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the restaurant for opening and closing by setting up tables with the correct number of place settings, including crockery, silverware, glasses, and napkin
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all times
  • Readily stand by at the pass, to pick up dishes which are ready to be presented to the guest
  • Explain the ingredients used and/or methods on how to enjoy the dish when presenting the dish to the guest
  • Proactively anticipate guests' needs and refresh the table with finesse once guests have finished their main course
  • Perform other additional tasks as required, including setting up and breaking down tables, restocking supplies, using the glassware dishwasher and other cleaning duties

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have a keen eye for detail and be able to multitask with ease.
