Biotechnology Operations Specialist Role

About the Job

This is a challenging role for a Biotechnology Operations Specialist to support lab operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in biotechnology or related laboratory production environments and can manage workflows for sample preparation, testing, and analysis.

This specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to bridge lab work with product development and contribute ideas and solutions as the company scales its lab and operations infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring day-to-day lab production operations comply with ISO and GMP guidelines.
  • Managing workflows for sample preparation, testing, and analysis.
  • Contributing to process optimization, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting aligned with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance lab productivity and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Science, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years' experience in lab operations or production within biotech or relevant industries.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or GMP standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
