Quality and Safety Leadership Role

This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead quality and safety initiatives in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support clinical quality and safety projects, working closely with various departments to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement quality models, audits, and risk management strategies, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Provide administrative support to Quality Assurance and Clinical Services committees, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Identify areas for improvement and streamline processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage clinical incidents and serious reportable events, conducting thorough root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, administrators, and patients to develop and implement quality initiatives, fostering a patient-centered approach.
  • Collect, analyze, and present quality and safety data to inform decision-making, driving evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain accurate records, draft meeting minutes, and prepare administrative documents as needed.
  • Develop and update departmental websites and communication materials, ensuring timely and effective information dissemination.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with a Master's degree in healthcare administration or public health.
  • Significant experience in healthcare quality, safety, or project management, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
  • Proven knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety principles, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data systems is an asset, but not required.
