Job Description:

The Stewarding Manager is a crucial role within our culinary team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all kitchens and back-of-house areas.

This position requires an experienced individual to lead a team of stewards in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and cleaning procedures, who can effectively communicate and collaborate with our culinary and service teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate stewarding staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations in kitchens, dishwashing areas, and equipment storage zones.
  • Maintain the highest hygiene standards as per NEA and HACCP regulations and resort policies.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of dishwashing machines, waste management systems, and cleaning equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, pantries, and storage rooms.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and tools; place requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Schedule shifts and delegate responsibilities to stewarding team members.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to support smooth kitchen operations during service and events.
  • Drive eco-friendly and sustainable initiatives in waste reduction, recycling, and water conservation.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations and participate in safety audits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
