Regional Payroll Expert

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Payroll Specialist to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries within the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local tax, social security, and labor laws.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure payroll accuracy, policy alignment, and effective reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes, statutory reports, and year-end documentation.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Lead payroll audits and support internal/external audits by providing required documentation and insights.
- Implement and monitor controls to reduce payroll errors and mitigate risks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting payroll in each country within the region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll, ideally within a regional APAC scope.
- Knowledge of employment regulations across multiple APAC countries.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors and cloud-based payroll systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional or equivalent).
- Experience in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Familiarity with regional employment law and benefits practices.
