Leadership Role in Community Mental Health

Senior/Assistant Director, Development and Strategy is a leadership role that involves driving strategic stakeholder engagement to strengthen the ecosystem, support policy review, and pilot national-level implementation.

  • Drive Strategic Engagement with key stakeholders to identify trends, gaps, and evolving needs in community mental health and psychiatric long-term care (ILTC) sector.
  • Lead Literature Review and horizon scanning to identify emerging needs and opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop and refine Care Models for individuals with mental health and psychiatric conditions and their caregivers, ensuring best practices and evidence-based approaches.
  • Oversight of Delivery Model Planning and implementation, collaborating with stakeholders and industry players to drive transformation.
  • Provide Clinical Input to ministries and agencies for policy review and service planning, guiding clinical teams to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Ministry of Health (MOH) in Service Planning under the Community Mental Health Masterplan, ensuring alignment with national objectives.
  • Identify Learning Needs of providers and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement capability building strategies.
  • Review and facilitate adoption of Standardized Tools for psychiatric ILTC services, ensuring consistency and quality in care delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field; additional mental health qualifications are advantageous.
  • At least 14 years of experience in healthcare or community care sectors, including at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior mental health experience is beneficial.
  • Skilled in program implementation and evaluation, with experience in policy analysis, development, or contributing to policy reviews and recommendations.
  • Adaptable and able to learn quickly in dynamic environments, with strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
