Audiometrician Role

Our organization is seeking an Audiometrician to play a vital role in assisting audiologists with hearing testing of babies and young children.

  • Hearing Assessment Expertise: Conduct thorough hearing assessments at various locations, utilizing your expertise in audiology to provide accurate results.
  • Support for Audiologists: Assist experienced audiologists with hearing testing of infants and toddlers, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  • Hearing Aid Orientation and Support: Provide guidance on hearing aid and cochlear implant use after fitting by audiologists, including orientation and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Vestibular Assessment Specialist: Be involved in vestibular assessments, working closely with audiologists to diagnose and treat balance-related issues.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Patient Referral Coordination: Triage patient referrals for hearing aid trials, communicating effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Patient Communication and Coordination: Communicate with patients regarding appointments and referrals, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot hearing devices and maintain equipment in Hearing Aid and Cochlear Implant clinics.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor, including daily and weekly statistics maintenance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: A diploma in Health Science, Electronics, Engineering, Biomedical, or related fields is required.
  • Training: On-the-job training will be provided to develop skills further.
  • Experience: Certificate in Industrial Audiometry or prior experience in healthcare is highly desirable.
