- Develops innovative menu ideas by incorporating seasonal ingredients and cutting-edge culinary techniques to elevate our restaurant's reputation.
- Oversees sushi and sashimi preparation with attention to detail and adherence to traditional methods.
- Manages kitchen operations efficiently, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in their skills.
- Monitors inventory levels, orders fresh ingredients, and optimizes stock management to minimize waste.
- Collaborates closely with restaurant management to ensure seamless service delivery and an exceptional guest experience.
- Maintains and upgrades equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Stays abreast of culinary trends, continuously refining techniques to maintain a fresh and exciting menu.
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Proven track record as a Japanese Chef or similar role in a high-end Japanese restaurant setting.
- Expertise in yakitori grilling techniques and thorough knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and motivate kitchen staff.
