Geotechnical Specialist Role

As a Geotechnical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing sound geotechnical consulting engineering services. This role involves working on a variety of projects, from site investigations to design and construction management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed design work across a range of geotechnical engineering projects, including interpreting site data, foundation design, and retaining structure design.
  • Prepare project reports summarizing key assumptions, design methodologies, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety within the office and on all projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar area; preferably a Master's degree specialized in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in Geotechnical Engineering within a consulting business environment.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant progress towards eligibility for membership.
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines, including OH&S.
