Geotechnical Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Specialist to lead infrastructure projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will have expertise in geotechnical designs, assessments, coordination and site inspection works.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with airfield pavement, SI, CPT, GIR, PVD, surcharge for consolidation, DCM, vibroflotation, excavation, slope, retaining wall, foundation, pipe jacking and geotechnical instrumentation readings interpretation as well as basic civil and structural design knowledge.

  • Geotechnical design, analysis and assessment for ground improvement works, foundation, excavation, slope, instrumentation and site investigation.
  • Airfield pavement designs and familiarity with ICAO and FAA requirements.
  • Plan, design, supervise and coordinate for geotechnical/civil engineering, infrastructural design, airfield pavement and site works.
  • Evaluate and ensure all engineering works comply with relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, other consultants, contractors and relevant authorities.
  • Assist team leader in maintaining high quality standards of design, supervision and guiding junior engineers.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering with minor in pavement or its equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
  • At least 5 years' experience in geotechnical and pavement engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical design in Eurocodes.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical design software such as Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, GeoStudio, TEDDS.
  • Knowledge of airfield pavement design software.
  • Familiarity with authorities submission requirements and project management for civil/infrastructure engineering projects.
