We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Design Lead to lead our construction projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of design principles, project management and leadership skills.

  • Developing project briefs and working closely with the project team as the project progresses;
  • Preparing design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
  • Contributing to planning applications and regulatory procedures;
  • Understanding how design aspects influence performance and functional issues, enabling practical questions to be addressed early on;
  • Following up with detailed design processes and coordinating design information;
  • Liaising with relevant authorities to obtain statutory approval;
  • Coordinating and liaising with various consultants on the project team;
  • Advising clients on procuring suitable contracts for their work;
  • Leading the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings;
  • Assisting in administering contracts and project certifications;
  • Obtaining feedback on work in progress and finished results from clients;
  • Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed timeframe;
  • Solving problems that may occur during the building/construction stage;
  • Carrying out defect inspections;
  • Managing junior staff/direct reports.
Requirements
