Culinary Specialist Role

The ideal candidate will be a skilled culinary expert with experience in managing kitchen operations. They should have strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation, as well as excellent leadership skills to motivate and train junior staff.

Responsibilities include managing daily kitchen activities, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and implementing effective cost controls. The successful candidate will also be responsible for scheduling, training, and motivating staff, as well as ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily kitchen activities and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Implement effective cost controls and manage kitchen labor costs.
  • Schedule, train, and motivate staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement effective HACCP systems.

Requirements:
  • Certificate from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive positions from Cook I in varying cuisines in comparable operations.
  • Strong culinary knowledge on Western cuisine with emphasis on American cuisine and basic knowledge on Asian cuisine.
  • Knowledge of religious dietary requirements.
  • Knowledge in production flow and equipment usage.
