Job Title: Senior Speech Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our speech therapy department, you will be responsible for providing expert-level assessment and intervention services to students with complex communication needs.

You will work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans that address the unique needs of each student. This may involve conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and coaching educators on effective communication strategies.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives and programs aimed at improving communication outcomes for students with autism and other disabilities.

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness in students' communication skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with educators and other professionals to develop and implement evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • Coach educators on effective communication strategies and provide support and guidance as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of [State].
  • At least 5-7 years of experience working with students with autism and other disabilities.
  • Proven track record of success in assessing and treating students with complex communication needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
