Marine Claims Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Claims Manager to join our team. As a Marine Claims Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the regional portfolio for marine claims (hull & machinery, cargo, FFL). Your primary goal will be to provide delivery of claims services, determine proper policy coverage, investigate, evaluate, and negotiate assigned cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and drive claims performance throughout the region.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications.
  • Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve Claims systems and procedures.
  • Approve claims within appropriate authority levels.
  • Maintain good client relationships with insured, agents, service providers, and the general public.
  • Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried out.
  • Evaluate recoverable amounts and follow up effectively.
  • Ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • May supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the team.
  • Manage and supervise Claims staff.

  • Basic English Communication Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes.
