Job Description:

Aerospace NDT inspectors play a vital role in ensuring the safety and integrity of aircraft.

Reporting to the responsible NDT Level 3, they will be responsible for performing duties both on base and away from base as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Performing duties promptly and meeting delivery requirements;
  • Maintaining the highest standard of work and ensuring aircraft safety;
  • Documenting work on appropriate paperwork and adhering to relevant procedures;
  • Ensuring a clean and orderly workspace;
  • Adhering to company, regulatory, and health and safety requirements;
  • Adhering to airport regulations and procedures;

Essential Criteria:

  1. Currently qualified to EN4179 Level 2 in at least two of the following NDT methods (Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle inspection, Eddy-current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography);
  2. Recent documented experience of aerospace NDT inspection;
  3. Willingness to acquire certifying staff authorizations;
  4. Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical instructions;
  5. Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
  6. Ability to work within a team and independently;
  7. Willingness to up-skill and recertify on an ongoing basis;

Additional Requirements:

  • Currently qualified to EN4179 Aerospace Level 2 under SGNDTB in two or more of the following NDT methods;
  • Possess a working knowledge of aircraft structures and product technology;
  • Previous experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and current CAAS certifying staff qualification is desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A high level of technical knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems and operations is also required.
