The position of Aerospace NDT Level II Inspector involves performing duties both on base and away from base as assigned by the Operations Manager. Ensuring that all work is completed promptly and meets the delivery requirements of the customer is crucial to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspections to the highest standard, maintaining the safety of the aircraft at all times.
- Ensure all work carried out is documented on the appropriate paperwork and signed off progressively.
- Keep the working area clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all company, regulatory, and Health and Safety procedures.
- Comply with relevant airport regulations and procedures.
- Be willing to undergo further training & Qualification on additional NDT methods as a level 2, aiming for career growth to become NDT Level 3.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- CURRENTLY QUALIFIED TO EN4179 LEVEL 2 IN AT LEAST TWO OF THE FOLLOWING NDT METHODS: Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Eddy-Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography;
- RECENT DOCUMENTED EXPERIENCE OF AEROSPACE NDT INSPECTION;
- BROAD COMMUNICATION SKILLS, BOTH ORAL AND WRITTEN;
- ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET SPECIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS FROM RELEVANT MANUALS;
- ABILITY TO WORK WITHIN A TEAM AND INDEPENDENTLY, BE SELF-MOTIVATED, AND FLEXIBLE IN APPROACH WORK;
- WILLINGNESS TO UP-SKILL AND RECERTIFY ON AN ONGOING BASIS;
- A GOOD SENSE OF COMMERCIAL AWARENESS.
