At Sompo, we are seeking a seasoned Catastrophe Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic Central Pricing and Analytics team in the Insurance business.

About the Role

This is a senior position that will oversee high-volume, small line size portfolios across APAC, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and refining workflows to address inefficiencies and optimize accuracy for high-volume transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee high-volume, small line size portfolios across APAC, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with local teams, offering guidance and support in portfolio management strategies tailored to regional needs.
  • Analyse and refine workflows to address inefficiencies and optimize accuracy for high-volume transactions.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a skilled Catastrophe Portfolio Manager who possesses in-depth knowledge of catastrophe portfolio management, particularly for high-volume, small line size portfolios. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing and implementing best practices for portfolio management to support continuous improvement and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of Catastrophe portfolio management, particularly for high-volume, small line size portfolios.
  • Technical skills: proficient in catastrophe modelling tools, primarily RMS; strong command of SQL and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Detailed understanding of market dynamics and trends in the insurance industry.
