Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments for various industrial facilities, including chemical plants and refineries.

This involves:

  1. Developing and implementing risk management methodologies in line with local and international standards.
  2. Performing consequence analysis for potential release scenarios using industry-standard software.
  3. Evaluating and quantifying the risks to personnel, the public, and assets.
  4. Preparing detailed reports and presentations of risk findings, recommendations, and mitigation strategies.
  5. Collaborating with clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in conducting risk assessments for the oil & gas and/or chemical industries.
  3. Proficiency in risk management software such as DNV Phast & Safeti, TNO EFFECTS, or equivalent.
  4. Strong understanding of process safety principles, hazard identification, and risk analysis techniques.
  5. Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
