Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of industrial buildings, managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules, handle corrective maintenance tasks, and manage service providers to ensure minimal disruption and optimal performance.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and TAFEP guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality of work and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and approve service contracts and invoices.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the facilities budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenants and stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing timely resolution to any issues related to the facility.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and inspections, and prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance status, and compliance.
  • Respond to and manage emergency situations, including facility-related incidents, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on operations.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on industrial buildings.
  • Experience in managing MEP systems and working with external contractors is essential.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, HVAC, and related regulatory and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with TAFEP guidelines and best practices in employment and workplace management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to managing facility-related issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours if required and to respond to emergencies as needed.
