Job Description

The Singapore Police Force plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure. As a key component, the Police Intelligence Department (PID) supports the SPF's mission by providing valuable intelligence.

Besides managing intelligence operations, PID is responsible for processing and analyzing data, enriching crime information, compiling national statistics, assessing crime concerns, and identifying trends affecting public order and security in Singapore.

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring PID's continued success through various tasks including strategic planning, resource allocation, organisational development, stakeholder engagement, and capability development for the intelligence function.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct horizon scanning and formulate strategies to strengthen PID's ability to support future SPF requirements.
  • Plan and prioritise resources aligned with PID's strategic objectives.
  • Evaluate and manage intelligence development projects effectively.
  • Coordinate requests for information from external units.
  • Prepare for visits by stakeholders.
  • Distribute internal communications and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure meetings run smoothly and pertinent issues are tracked for resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in any discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills for drafting documents and delivering presentations.
  • Literacy in basic IT and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to exercise systems thinking and analytical reasoning.
  • Possess strong planning and management skills, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Team player.
