Podiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated podiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in managing patients with high-risk foot conditions and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions.
  • Recognise acute high-risk foot presentations and administer appropriate treatment and onward referrals.
  • Make recommendations for diagnostic tests and interpret data accordingly.
  • Practice within area of professional and clinical competence and seek support from supervisor or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Comply with department policies in clinical governance, health, and safety, and infection control.
  • Manage or assist in the management of a clinical area, ensuring optimal utilisation of clinical capacity.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in case conferences.
  • Participate in clinical research and review/update clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Propose and participate in service improvements or quality improvement projects.
  • Contribute to or lead departmental in-service training programmes and hospital educational talks.
  • Actively engage in continued professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in podiatry.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not essential.
