Podiatry Role Overview

As a skilled Podiatrist, you will be responsible for assisting in the urgent triage of referrals from medical and surgical teams.

You will also be involved in nail surgery, prevention clinics, and mentoring students, while providing opportunities for specialist training in shockwave therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, compression bandaging, maggot debridement therapy, and ultrasonic debridement therapy.

In this role, you will provide input into the education of other healthcare professionals on high-risk foot conditions.

  • Assess and diagnose patients with diverse medical and podiatric conditions using appropriate diagnostic techniques.
  • Report to referring doctors and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Document patient notes clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Accurately charge patients.
  • Register new patients and ensure compliance with clinical standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise Therapy Assistants and students in Podiatry.
