Electrical Design Engineer Position

  • A professional with expertise in electrical design and a focus on transformer manufacturing is required to develop and optimize transformer designs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and be proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD 2D/3D.
  • The successful applicant will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support during the tender process. They will also collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source quotations for special accessories and equipment.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing electrical calculations, cost estimates, and technical data for tender submissions; analyzing design requirements to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards; and developing electrical designs and winding Bill of Materials (BOM), including schematic and layout drawings for transformer manufacturing.
  • Furthermore, the Electrical Design Engineer will perform feasibility studies and simulations to optimize performance, and support ad-hoc tasks such as site surveys, technical meetings, and preparation of approval drawings.
  • Requirements include a min Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, preferably with a focus on electrical power engineering, and knowledge of transformer design and related industry standards is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++ is a plus. Familiarity with CAD software and industry standards is essential for this role.
