Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by implementing and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system. This includes preparing and submitting first article samples for approval, creating packaging specifications, developing inspection plans for products, and supporting inspection processes.

You will also train inspectors and operators on quality check points and measurement methods, work with production, toolroom, and suppliers to address quality issues, and ensure documents and records comply with ISO quality standards. Additionally, you will assist engineers as needed, manage and maintain all measuring and testing equipment, and help engineers update monthly quality control reports.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, be able to read engineering drawings, have good reporting and administrative skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with OGP Smartscope, CMM, or other measuring tools is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit first article samples for approval.
  • Create packaging specifications.
  • Develop inspection plans for products.
  • Support inspection processes for in-process, incoming, and outgoing parts.
  • Train inspectors and operators on quality check points and measurement methods.
  • Work with Production, Toolroom, and Suppliers to address quality issues.
  • Ensure documents and records comply with ISO quality standards.
  • Assist Engineers as needed.
  • Manage and maintain all measuring and testing equipment.
  • Help Engineers update monthly quality control reports, such as supplier performance.
  • Assist Engineers or Managers in collecting and compiling data for reports.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Good reporting and administrative skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with OGP Smartscope, CMM, or other measuring tools.
