Job Description

Nature of the Job: As a Field Service Professional, your key responsibilities will include analyzing customer issues, collecting and recording product information, summarizing findings, and reporting problems. Additionally, you will direct labor forces to ensure equipment is built to required standards and procedures related to installation, commissioning, start-up, repair, or maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner to prevent injury to personnel or equipment.
  • Adhere to instructions and guidelines as described in quality and HSE management systems.
  • Assist in the quotation process for minor projects.
  • Handle technical issues such as installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance.
  • Schedule and allocate personnel and materials to execute work scopes and plans.
  • Perform safety planning and detailing on minor projects.
  • Conduct investigations of product trouble, including performance problems, and take corrective action as directed by the Field Service Manager/Senior Service Engineer.
  • Provide technical direction and assist Field Service personnel on other assignments.
  • Supervise and direct customer personnel, hired labor, and Service Representatives during installations, start-ups, repairs, or maintenance.
  • Participate in the training of customers and own personnel.
  • Issue work method statements.
  • Conduct experimental programs for developing modifications to field equipment.
  • Act as Site Manager while directing work on Elliott equipment and non-Elliott equipment.
  • Maintain open communication with the Field Service Manager/Support Engineers regarding work performed, quality, performance, and equipment problems.
  • Minimize installation back charges from customers and/or mechanical contractors through good judgment and prompt action.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product design, enhance company service, and eliminate troubles.
  • Promote customer goodwill through effective communication and cooperation with customer's personnel.
  • Assist in resolving Elliott's liability in failure claims or verify the validity of customer's claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have knowledge of quality and HSE management systems and be able to interpret and apply them in the workplace.
