We are looking for a skilled Furniture Craftsperson to join our team.

Furniture crafters are responsible for creating and installing furniture pieces, from cabinets to doors and frameworks. They work with a variety of materials, including wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in furniture crafting, with a proven track record of working with carpentry materials and techniques. Strong knowledge of electrical and manual equipment, measurement tools, and technical documents is essential.

This role involves installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various materials. It also includes fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim, and erecting scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.

The selected candidate will be required to study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. They will cut and shape materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws, and maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to established safety rules and regulations.

The responsibilities of this role include building or repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, as well as assembling and fastening materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.

In addition, the successful candidate will inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures, and clean up worksite debris and move necessary materials around the job site as assigned.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in furniture crafting or carpentry.
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Good understanding of basic math.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
