Job Title: Master Craftsman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Master Craftsman to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.

You will also be responsible for installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation. Additionally, you will add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.

To ensure high-quality work, you will select lumber by size and strength to suit each job and source wood to meet the customer's style and preferences.

Other duties include calculating the number of fasteners required for each job and reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations.

Requirements
  • Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.
  • Joinery and cabinet making skills.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.
  • Able to work for long hours or night shifts.
