Parts Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Parts Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing spare parts inventory, performing audits and providing asset management services.

  • This includes identifying, preparing and performing parts audits of Synchronous Condenser and Transmission lines.
  • The candidate will also be responsible for documenting spare parts, setting up asset management systems and updating inventory records periodically.
Requirements
  • A Technology Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience in industrial equipment maintenance and asset management/reliability engineering is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

The Parts Specialist will be responsible for compiling a master equipment list, reviewing recommended quantities and determining required stock levels. They will also need to set SS/MRQ levels, cross-reference part numbers with the Inventory Management System and prepare z-files for inventory updates.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Life Cycle and Economic Analysis principles, as well as experience in field visits to gather part information from in-service equipment.
  • They will also need to perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Applicants must be willing to relocate to St. John's, NL and be available for field visits as needed.
