Recreation and Leisure Manager

The Recreation and Leisure Department is seeking an experienced professional to oversee daily operations, manage facilities, promote sports events, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support in daily departmental operations, including managing schedules and coordinating events
  • Manage sports facilities, competitions, and leagues, ensuring a high level of quality and safety
  • Promote sports events within the community, developing marketing strategies to increase participation and engagement
  • Address member queries and manage membership database, providing accurate and timely information
  • Attend meetings with convenors and committee members, contributing to strategic decision-making
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Sports Management or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Independent, proactive, and diligent with tight deadlines, able to work effectively under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills, warm, and friendly with strong English command, able to communicate effectively with diverse groups
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
