About the Role
We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in cost estimation, planning, and management. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex projects, analyzing data, and developing creative solutions to drive value for our clients. As a Senior Director of Cost Optimization, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of cost plans, conducting value engineering exercises, and motivating team members to achieve positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cost management team in delivering high-quality services to clients.
- Oversee the development of cost plans, including estimating and cost planning activities.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Motivate team members to achieve positive client outcomes and meet deadlines.
- Critically analyze project requirements and deliverables to identify creative solutions and alternatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, construction management, engineering, or a similar discipline. You will also require over 15 years' work experience, preferably from a consultancy background, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical (M&E) work experience. In addition, you should have experience working on a range of projects across industry sectors, particularly in public sector, mixed development, industrial, semiconductor, life science/pharma, and data center projects.
