Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at the National University of Singapore. As a key member of our Synthetic Biology Translational Research Programme, you will play a crucial role in developing therapeutic cells against human disease.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field and proven expertise in recombinant protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and screen protein libraries to enhance functional properties;
  • Develop and optimize quantitative biochemical assays for detection and characterization of target biomarkers;
  • Implement and apply high-throughput protein engineering workflows, including automated screening and data analysis;
  • Mentor research assistants, graduate, and undergraduate students;

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
